My mouse sensitivity seems to have increased a fair amount out of
nowhere. I know refresh rate and Windows sensitivity level, as well
as the precision check should effect this, but none of these has
changed. I'm using XP and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my
mouse drivers, but have seen no change. It was working fine, and
seems to have increased out of nowhere. I would simply decrease it in
the control panel, but I'm currently on the third notch which is quite
slow, and going down to the second is almost impossible to move (it
was just about impossible, while now I can move it a bit).

I am using RefreshForce, and am currently operating at 1600x1200 at
85Hz (reported by the monitor).

A correct answer will properly tell me how to decrease the sensitivity
back to the level it should be at.

This may help:

Though I do not use the Intellimouse driver (however, I did try them,
which did not fix the issue).

What happens if you reverse the settings you made using
RefreshForce, by opening RefreshForce and going to the
monitors you optimized, and clicking the "Restore Original
Settings" button? Does this change the mouse sensitivity
problems you're experiencing?

these things seem like they happen 'out of nowhere' but they are
initiated by some change in your system. maybe a program that you have
recently installed is creating a conflict with your mouse. especially
look at programs that automatically start up when xp starts, they
cause all sorts of problems. disable as many of these as you can.

other than that check to see that your mouse is functioning properly.
unplug it a try it on another computer or if you have another mouse,
plug it into your xp system and see if it is giving you the same
problem.
