After setting up a main account with this prospective merchant, I'll
need for my clients to be able to set up sub-accounts under my main
merchant account (right off of my website), in which all incoming
payments (that come through a client's account), automatically split
off part of the payment into the client's sub-account, and split off
the other part of the payment into my main account. Due to the fact
that I have not launched this service to the general public, I am
unable to disclose at this time exactly what the service is that I
will be providing. However, I will provide you with an excellent
example:
Pretend we are movie-tickets.com. Hundreds of theatre-owners all over
the nation log onto our site, set-up an account with us and
simultaneously set up a sub-account with this prospective merchant
(under my main account). With a theatre-owner's account, he'll be able
to update his theatre's showtimes and prices,etc. When a movie fan
logs on to movie-tickets.com and purchases a movie ticket through that
particular theatre on our website, the subtotal is $9.50 (the cost of
the ticket is $8.00 and the cost of my website's service charge is
$1.50). We'll need for that $9.50 to split off $1.50 into my main
account, and $8.00 into our client's sub-account. I'll need to be able
to control the amount of the service charge.
