Question ID: 280446
I have an Epson C80 printer. With Millenium operating system printed
pictures are fine. With Windows XP color balance is out of line, e.g.
custom settings minus 14 for magenta and plus 8 for yellow approximate
correct. Epson has no othr advice. How can I match the Milllenium
success without manipulating color balance manually?

Hi,

Are you asking because you want to use the printer from 2 different
computers? I don't understand what is the problem with setting the
color balance in the drivers?

Thanks.

My problem has presented itself in comparing the product of two
different computers one with the millenium operating system and the
other with a windows xp operating system. The same printer has been
used with both computers and and the same program, Photoshop Elements.
has been used for both as well. The milleniuum computer gave me fine
prints. When I use the XP program and computer I must modify the
color balance as I noted. Is there a process to correct the XP
problem other than my manual manipulation of the color balance?

Hi,

Have you used the same drivers on both computers?
I.e. drivers downloaded from the epson site or are you relying on
drivers that come with Windows?

Maybe you can calibrate Photoshop Elements for your printer?
Maybe the XP one isn't configured for a CMYK printer?
It should be possible to configure Photoshop Elements to account for
the difference in color output.

Thanks.
