Dear bob360-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question. We can?t give medical advice of course but since you asked
what ?I? would do I?ll be happy to tell you:

Most medical professionals agree that surgery to correct hemorrhoids
should be considered only as a last resort. That is to say when all
other non-surgical treatments have been exhausted or the extent to
which the hemorrhoids are prolapsed or otherwise problematic warrants
immediate surgery.

?Surgery is one treatment but it is a last resort.?

?surgery is largely considered to be a ?last resort? method of dealing
with hemorrhoids.?

?Surgical treatments should be reserved for patients with acute pain,
persistent heavy bleeding or soiling that cannot be controlled in any
other way.?

?The Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids should be considered when
non-operative methods of hemorrhoid treatment do not provide
satisfactory, long-term relief of hemorrhoidal disease and your
physician recommends hemorrhoid surgery treatment.?
HEMORRHOIDAL SURGERY RISKS

The bottom line (no pun intended) is that hemorrhoid surgery
(Hemorrhoidectomy) is relatively painful, costly and presents a
certain degree of infection risk due to the nature of the malady and
the proximity of the problem to potentially infectious human waste.
Not to mention of course that the procedure is at least temporarily
immobilizing during the recovery period since the treatment is done
directly on the weight-bearing portion of our bodies and care must be
take to avoid strain or extensive movement during convalescence. There
are also a number of other risks associated with hemorrhoid surgery
including potential incontinence and/or long-term dysfunction,
reaction to medications or anesthesia, bleeding and possible narrowing
(stricture) of the anus.

In short, non-surgical treatment is ALWAYS preferable to surgical
treatments whether the corrective action is related to hemorrhoids or
any other condition. Would I ?personally? use a Hemorrhoid Clinic that
can ?cure? my hemorrhoids without surgery versus having the operation?
If the clinic could in fact cure my problem - you?d better believe
it?without hesitation!

I hope you find that my research exceeds your expectations. If you
have any questions about my research please post a clarification
request prior to rating the answer. Otherwise I welcome your rating
and your final comments and I look forward to working with you again
in the near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.

Best regards;
Tutuzdad-ga

Of course, there may be some compounding factor that dictates surgery,
possibly a fistula, for example.

Really, you do need expert medical advice.
