What percentage of Americans have a net worth of 1 million plus. And,
how many of these are women vs. men. And, how many are under the age
of 40. And, how many are single and never been married.

I have the books "Millionaire Next Door" and "The Millionaire Mind" by
Thomas Stanley. Would you like the statistics from these books as an
answer? Problem is, they're a bit old, statistics from 1997 I think.

Hello again Kivo,
That sure is a tricky question to research on after looking around the
Net. Almost everything I see quotes Stanley's books, and most of the
others show data older than the year 2000. Let us see if the
information you need will turn up later on.

By the way, I really loved those books. I believe they are
myth-crushing, eye-opening, no-nonsense books that really teach good
stuff.

Hello kivo-ga,

I?ve found some of the information you?re looking for but I?m coming
up short on some of your questions.

I can give you reliable data about the number of millionaires in
mid-year 2003. I can give you accurate figures on number of
millionaires and percent of population for mid-year 2002. I can give
you the average age and marital status but I haven?t found anything on
proportion of men vs. women or the number/percent under 40 and never
married.

Will you accept these partial statistics as an answer? I look forward
to your clarification.
