I am involved in a computer consulting startup and am looking for a
copy of a concise description and analysis of the pros and cons of
various remuneration/ownership schemes. For example, stock purchase
vs. profit sharing vs. bonus vs balanced score card, etc. I am
familiar with the traditional partnership model and am not so
interested ("work for less for years so others can be rich in the hope
that others will do it for you one day.")I am looking for something
more fair and motivating for employees at all levels as well as a way
to reward for different kinds of contributions (internal knowledge
sharing, sales, billing, etc.) At the same time it would be nice if it
was simple to understand and implement :) Concrete examples,
implementation
challenges, potential conflicts etc. from successful and failed firms
would be great. |
