Dear jolly231160,

It?s nice to see you again.

I was able to locate the following statistics for you.

- Percentage of Canadians were satisfied with their holiday gifts
- Percentage of Canadians that received a gift they didn?t like or
couldn?t use in the holiday season.

- Percentage of Canadians who return their gifts
- Percentage of Canadians who store their gifts or put them away
- Percentage of Canadians who give them to someone else
- Percentage of Canadians who keep and use the gifts they got but
really didn?t want.

NOTE: I have not come across data regarding gifts that are exchanged..

- Percentage of Canadians between the ages of 18-34 are typically more
likely to return the gifts
- Percentage of Canadians (55+) are more likely to pass the gifts
along to someone else
- Percentage of Canadians from high-income households ($60K+)
typically return ?unwanted? gifts
- Percentage of Canadians from low income households are more likely
to keep and use the gifts anyway.

- How many times a Canadian on the average visits a shopping center
every 30 day period.
- The percentage of Canadians that have visited a shopping center in
the past 30 days.

- Percentage of Canadians that take one or two hours for an average
holiday shopping trip.
- Percentage of Canadians that take three or four hours for an average
shopping trip
- Percentage of Canadians that make four to eight separate shopping
trips during the holidays
- Percentage of Canadians that make two to three shopping trips to
purchase their holiday gifts

- Average time spent by Canadians age 15 years and older on shopping
for goods and services per day.
This figure was taken from a Social Survey Overview of the Time Use of
Canadians in 1998

Please let me know if my findings would be a suitable answer to your question?

Thanks,
Bobbie7

into, or can?t use.?

?Typically, when Canadians receive unwanted gifts, the majority
return them (26%), store them (22%) or give them to someone else

they pass the gifts along to someone else and 22% claim they store and
