Hi lizardnation-ga,
I found a module Net::SMPP that does SMPP 3.4. It may require
tweaking to do SMPP 3.3.

I looked for others, but couldn't find any.

Hi Efn,
Well done, then would you please locate a specs document which
explains SMPP 3.3 and 3.4 so I may cover my needs with the referenced
library and make the changes to cover both versions? :-)
Thank you.

Hi Lizardnation,
I couldn't find anything that looked really authoritative. The SMS
Forum, formerly known as the SMPP Developers Forum, claims ownership
and control of the SMPP protocol.
http://www.smsforum.net/org.html
They have v3.4 and v5.0 specifications available for download, but no v3.3.
The closest I could find was this document from Aldiscon:
http://www.csoft.co.uk/docs/SMPP-IF-SPEC.v3.3.pdf
If that doesn't look right to you, let me know and I can look some more.

Hello Efn,
That looks good enough.
Say, are you familiar with SMS technology? What's your background in
general as I would be then encouraged to ask you a bit more in the
area?
Thank you.

Hi Lizardnation,
Thanks for the rating and your interest.
I'm a senior software engineer. I'm not particularly familiar with
SMS technology. Several years ago, I had some involvement with an
interface where a voice messaging system would send message
notifications in short text messages, but I don't remember much about
it. I have had a lot of experience with telecommunications
applications, including voice and fax messaging, interactive voice
response, and switching. I know C++ pretty well--or at least I can
simulate such knowledge on-line with the aid of my library.
I'll be happy to help you with any further questions if I can.
