I am considering launching a new auction site in my country called freebay.**
The site & logo & marketing of the site will not be similar in anyway to ebay.
I have read numerous articles etc on how they have already closed down
sites for simply having the word "bay" in their name. The only reason
they won these cases is because the sites couldnt afford to fight
them.
Likwise neither could I.
So I am looking for an expert opinion on where you think I stand.
Should I give up now before I even start? Or should I go ahead, and if
I do what is likely to happen?
I welcome any comments other researchers/users may have.
Thank you.

What country are you in? I can tell you that if you were in the United
States you would never get away with calling an online auction site
Freebay. Also, FYI, the freebay.com domain is already taken, if
that's an issue.
