How does Google and other Search Engines determine when faced with a
new website if this is a Link farm or a link index site. By Pagerank
or by IPs?

Hi Frank,

We are independent contractors here, with no special knowledge of the
inner-workings of the Google search engine.

From personal observations, I don't think that Google looks for link
farms, but rather they look for the result of link farms. I feel that
if Google notices that more than a certain % of links pointing to a
page are reciprocal links between the sites, then, depending on other
factors, the page might be penalized or affected by a filter. As one
of the other factors I would include any mention of words such as
"reciprocal links" or "link partners" or "link exchange".

I don't know if http://www.linkpartners.com/ requires its users to
link to them, but many do and Link Partners does not have a PageRank.

ps, there is a bad link on your site, it points to
http://www.kanoddle.com/ instead of kanoodle.

hi Robert,

Firstly - thanks for notice broken link :-( !! I will fix this later
today. Regarding link farm / link index - I think you are right and
that also answer my question about the IPs (same URL or different
domains hosted on same IP). I agree - using linkpartner or any other
link program is a huge mistake because you link to them and not to
your own domain so using something like this will never ever give you
any pagerank - the easy way is almost never the right way.

Again, thanks for good answer.

All the best

Frank
