I would like someone to discover a freeware/shareware/commercial
software application that would allow one to "stream" any and all
audio coming from the output of a sound card to other computers a
network, as well as the internet. Specifically I am looking for
something on the Windows 2000/XP platform, however if a cross-platform
option was found, that would do just as well. Example scenario: I want
to allow my laptop upstairs that is on my network, to be able to play
the audio coming out my computer downstairs, getting this audio signal
from the ethernet (or from the Internet for computers outside my
network) of course. I am not looking for a special player. I want to
be able to use any audio application on my computer, The software
would therefore have to somehow be able to "tap" into the sound
signal, or software signal, or however it needs to be accessed, no
matter what is playing from Windows.
