Hi,

What messages are displayed during the installation?

Also was the file uploaded as ASCII rather than binary?

Thanks.

these are the instructions .
HOW TO INSTALL:
First fill in the correct values in the config.php file (the server,
the username/password combination for the MySQL server And the
database name.)
Then run Install.php
Then signup (signup.php) an useraccount, or
Log-in (login.php) using the admin account (username= admin password= admin)
Remove install.php
Change the admin password

So far i have uploaded the files to members.touchgodlive.org
i the ran members.touchgodlive.org/install.php
it gives me this error----
Server error!
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.

Error message:
Premature end of script headers: install.php

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Error 500

i am using ws-ftp pro.
how do i know if i am using ASCII rather than binary?

Request for Question Clarification by endo-ga on 28 Nov 2003 17:25 PST
Hi,

In the middle secion of WS_FTP Pro, there are 2 green arrows, one
going left and one going right. Underneath them there is a little
page, click on it to make sure that ASCII mode is selected please.

After looking at quite a few pages, it seems that it is because your
host uses PHP within CGI rather than PHP as a mod itself. The error
you are getting is due to a limitation in CGI. There is not much you
can do other than contacting your host and requesting for help.

Another possibility is that your host is having problems right now (I
can't seem to access their webpage) or that there is a mistake in your
config.php file. Please make sure that all settings are correct.

I hope this helps, please let me know how it goes.

Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry I was mistaken, I thought your host was another site. My
suggestion is to do the following:

1-) Read what is described here: IMPORTANT!!! To all existing
customers looking for technical support: inside the Control Panel you
will find an F.A.Q. page. Please read it as all script and database
problems are described there

2-) Failing that, contact your host for technical support:
http://www.50free.com/contactus.html

3-) If they still cannot help, you need to change hosts.

There is not much else you can do, since this is a problem with the
way the server is configured. Depending on what it says in 1-), you
might be stuck with your problem until you change hosts.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.

Hi,

till-ga is kindly suggesting that you change the access mode of the
install file to 755. This is usually done in FTP software by right
clicking on the file and changing the permissions to read and execute
for everybody or mode 755 (while keeping write permission for the
owner).

Thanks.

Hi,

You need to connect to the FTP server, select the files on the server.
Right click on them and choose properties, change the numeric value to
755 then press ok.

Thans.

I my opinion you will have to chmode ALL php files to 755, not just
the installation script.
