I am writing a book in Word 2000. It is divided into sections, each of
which has chapters. In a Table of Contents, I want the section names
(style TOC1) to appear without pages numbers and the chapter names
(TOC2) to appear with them. Is there a way to do this?

When you "insert" an index or table there is an option to show page
numbers - the default has this box checked...just uncheck the
box...and no page numbers...

Thank you, but I know this. The final Table of Contents that I want is
like many that appear in books: some lines get a page humber and some
don't.

Example:

SECTION A (no page reference)
  Chapter 1 (page reference)
  Chapter 2 (page reference)
SECTION B (no page reference)
  Chapter 3 (page reference)
