I want a inexpensive(non charging) 800 to 1200 watt inverter that does not have a contiuously running fan.( don't like the noise) I had a Coleman 800 watt but the fan ran all the timeas soon as it is plugged in. Other inverters have fans that only come on when it is getting heavy use. Thank you Craig |

Most inverters have a thermal switch which starts the fan at a certain tempertature. Is your Coleman fan supposed to run all the time, or could it be that the thermal switch is defective?, stuck on?. Another possibility is to use a long extension cord and place the inverter out of range of your hearing. |

Hello Craig, www.invertersrus.com carries a 1250 watt power inverter for $139.00 that will do exactly what you're looking for. The dual fans run on a thermal switch and come on only when heat dictates so. This will help keep the noise down and your batteries a little fresher. The 1250 watt inverter has a 3100 watt peak, LED lights, dual AC outlets, low voltage alarms, low amperage alarms, etc, etc. We hope this helps, www.invertersrus.com |
