My wife and I have accumulated too much "stuff" and need to clean
house. We do not wish to have a traditional garage sale. Are there
any individuals or businesses that will come to my home and load our
unwanted items and take them somewhere else to dispose of them for a
share in the amount collected?

You might consider selling the entire lot to a flea-market dealer.
They'll give you pennies on the dollar, but you can't beat the
convenience of having someone hand you cash and haul your stuff away.

Hello Captun,

Depending on your tax situation, it may also be "better" to simply
donate the items to a local charity. I had a pair of old cars [but
still in daily use] that I wanted to get rid of and purchase a newer
used car. Trade in offered by dealers for the pair was about $1000 but
the retail blue book was about $3000. At the highest tax rates, it is
better to donate the items instead of selling them..

Another alternative is to check out resale or consignment stores. For example:
  http://phonebook.superpages.com/yellowpages/C-Resale+Stores/S-NV/T-Las+Vegas/
has several to choose from. However, they may only be interested in
some portion of your items.

The other choice would be pawn shops though they usually deal in
jewelry and electronic items.
