the tape is from a down jones printer used inconjuction with a trans
lux overhead screen it is glassine clear with type appearing.  it has
in content opening market quotes to spot news of the kennedy
procession suddenly to the quick announcements of the assination and
following news breaks. the tape was usually cut insegments but this
day it was forgotten in the shock. at the days end several of us sat
stunned i was the last to leave my trading position the basket was
next to my desk.  i looked and mechanically rolled it up. rolled
typing paper around it.  i have had it all these years unrolling maybe
three time to see condition and length.  propably the longest
available of this type.
i am old now. is there value to it.   petroc-ga

to the question the time and length of the tape, it is in the hands of
my son it will have to be delivered to me wednesday?  off hand i would
say from 9 plus a.m. to  4:00 work hours were different 1963 adhered
to by new york markets.  the length, i would not venture for markets
stopped that day,   a guess 17ft but A GUESS. I WILL ADVISE WHEN IN

wed. 12/03 re clarification kennedy tape.  i have it now it covers approx 19-20'
still very clear condition not brittle. approx 18 inches run until
first mention  of jfk's speech continues with more of the same. market
news interjects
cant give distance until flash is picked up  jfkshot  mkt reports
activity contiued breaks on assination  hospital reports connolly
reports, manhunt,2 priests called, death announed  johnsons in
seclusion.  etc etc till no more ending with biz closing
