OK, here's what I need.

I sometimes send and receive LARGE (10-15 MB) PDF files by email.

I need an email provider that can handle this.

At a minimum, this would include the following:

1. Allowing me to send a single message which is, with attachments, at
least 10 MB in size and preferably larger. (Also, if there were no
limit, or a very high limit - say 10 pieces or more - to the number of
attachments to any one email, that would be preferable).

2. Allowing me to receive emails of 10 MB or more in size.
(Concurrently with this, I would need a large enough email box, say 20
MB or more, to be able to fit these messages in the mailbox...although
they are generally only there for a short time until I download them
to my computer, so the mailbox doesn't have to be significantly larger
than 20 MB).

This email provider could be either a web-based provider, or a POP3 provider.

It would help if it had the ability to, in-house, host my domain name
and forward mail from it to this large inbox (e.g. "me@mydomain.com")
as opposed to having to use "me@bigemailprovider.com" or having to
procure a third party domain hosting and forwarding service.

I'd like to know two or three options for companies that provide this
service, along with pricing.

After seeing rkm100's suggestion, I'm going to add one more criterion:

I'd like this provider to be US-based.

Why? Better backbone connectivity (hopefully) and easier to contact
when/if something goes wrong.

Sgtcory:

I have contacted both providers you found. Swishmail will work for
what I need! They allow up to 60 MB (!!!) of attachments on both
incoming and outgoing mail, provided I am using POP3 mail, which is
fine.

Everyone.Net does not go over 10 MB on outgoing mail, which eliminated them.

If you can post Swishmail as the "answer" to the question, it's all
yours. Thanks for your help.

Hello crhptic,

Thanks for accepting my suggestion. I'm glad we were able to find a
provider that meets your criteria :

Company : SwishMail
US Servers : Yes
Info URL : http://www.swishmail.com/
Price : $19.99 a month and up
Branding : Yes
Details : Confirmed - 60MB attachments (incredible)

To assist with the original suggestions, I referenced Everyone.net
because I still use them for one of my web services. I found Swishmail
using Google to search for :

business email providers (page 2 of results)

Thanks again. Should you need further clarification simply let me
know. I will do all I can to ensure your questions are fully answered.

rkm100, thanks for that suggestion. However, I am going to leave the
question open for now, per my clarification above. If I don't get a
better response from someone else, I might consider this provider.

Hello crhptic,

I could not offer a fully qualified answer - due to your requirements
for attachment size. I've found a few providers that meet most of your
other criteria. I used the term 'Branding' to describe companies that
provide full domain support. (i.e. email@yourdomain.com) Please let me
know if you need any clarification :

1) Company : Everyone.net
   US Servers : Yes
   Info URL : http://www.everyone.net/email_compared.html
Price : $19.99 a month and up (Business Mail)
   Branding : Yes
Details : May need to contact to increase attachment limit (10MB)

2) Company : SwishMail
   US Servers : Yes
   Info URL : http://www.swishmail.com/
   Price : $19.99 a month and up
   Branding : Yes
Details : Once again - vague on the attachment size limit ('large')

As you can see - they seem to meet your criteria, but fall short in
the respect that both companies do not list the larger attachment
information. I am certain they both offer this option as a 'paid for'
upgrade.

Hopefully another researcher can find companies that provide full
details on their respective websites. If you find that these will
suffice, let me know and I'll see if I can dig up some more for you.

Thanks!

rkm100, thanks for that info...unfortunately, I have no way to confirm
it. I did verify that their domain registrar is located in Florida,
but as to whether the physical email servers are there or in India,
who can say. I consider it a moot point because it still doesn't
resolve the ease of contact/problem resolution, for which it matters
where the people, and the company, are located, not the servers.

Thank you for your advice, however. I am wondering, though, are you
affiliated with this company in some way?

sgtcory - thank you for those suggestions. I am in contact with both
of them, and will post an updated comment once I've determined if
either will work for me. If they will, I may revise my question and
let you take the answer.

Thanks.

robertskelton, thanks for that link. However, I checked, and Runbox
does not offer domain hosting. I can only get an @runbox.com email
from them. Their site says they may add it in the future, but as of
right now they don't have it.
