Hi alexander1,

I believe the movie you are thinking of is ?Roman Holiday?.
Following my search strategy, you will understand my reason for believing this.

I entered ?Roman Vacations? +film in my search which gave only 2
results. One is the following site:

Design-Italia
http://www.design-italia.it/eng/articolo_bassi.asp

I found this excerpt from the site:
?How many, in particular those outside of our country, have recognized
the Vespa that Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck rode in Roman
Vacations??

I then searched for:
vespa ?Audrey Hepburn? ?Gregory Peck?

Here is what led me to believe the movie is ?Roman Holiday?:

?Americans got a peek - and the idea that scooting could be downright
glamorous - when they watched Audrey Hepburn clinging to Gregory
Peck's waist as they zigzagged around Rome's legendary traffic on a
Vespa in 1953's Roman Holiday??

?That chic little Italian scooter that Audrey Hepburn used to whistle
around the streets of Rome in the Academy Award-winning film "Roman
Holiday" is making its re-entry in a big way??

?It was the Vespa 125 produced in 1948 that Gregory Peck and Audrey
Hepburn rode around on in Roman Holiday. As one film critic put it,
this film consecrated two stars: Hepburn and the Vespa.?
