Hello liddle,
Since your car is over 20 years old, it would commonly be listed under
'Collector' automobiles. Kelly Blue Book only goes as far back as 20
years ago, which is currently 1983. (no luck with them)
I was able to find another source called the 'VMR Standard Auto Guide'.
Here is a snapshot of your vehicle value, listed by condition :
Poor $250
Fair $675
Good $1475
Very Good $2450
Excellent $3350

Here is your model - Audi 5000 S4

Here are the details for the rating scale they use

Finally the information for for pricing data

The major factors to keep in mind when determining the overall value are :
- Mileage : the higher it is, the more the price decreases
- Options : the more options it has, the higher the value (sunroof etc..)
- Who's buying : Since this is for insurance purposes, dealer/full
retail sale value would seem appropriate.
The guide listed above puts your car in a similar price range as the
Nada Guide values, assuming the condition is as stated - good to
excellent. Here are both prices for easy reference :
Nada Values $1275 to $2500
VMR Values $1475 to $3350
Average of both pricing guides above :
$1375 - $2925 (overall the average price is $2150)
Your best option from this point forward would be to compare both
sites, and find the relevant pricing deduction/additions on each, for
your specific model. The VMR site has this information on the page
listed above for your model.
Should you need further clarification or assistance, please ask. I
will do all I can to help. Thanks for the question!
