swiggins-ga: 'best' is a very subjective term, so it would be helpful if you could describe your exact need and application in greater detail, or rephrase your question if you have a specific type of motion detector in mind already. For example, if your specific need is to know when a vehicle enters your driveway, the appropriate solution may be an 'electronic eye beam' as opposed to a motion detector. It all depends on the application, and the location. Please describe your requirement in greater detail, and I or another Google Answers Researcher should be able to point you towards the right solution. Regards, aht-ga |

You can do this really inexpensively with parts from any hardware store. One only needs a motion senor flood light (I used the one with two lights) put an outlet screw in in one side instead of a light bulb the one can plug in an extension cord this then powers up any time someone comes into your driveway you plug something into the cord an old clock radio works for me cause I can set it to buzz or play music and hit the snooze button to shut it off. |
