I am looking to purchase a digital recorder that can be sewn inside a
stuffed animal and will play a message that I will record (less than 2
minutes) when squeezed. The play trigger should be large since it will
be burried deep, and might not respond if it needs a percise squeeze.

Many holiday toys have these inside with pre-recorded songs. I would
like to record my own song. There are some that play music and trigger
action. This would be OK, if one than only plays is not available.

Check your local malls for a "Build-A-Bear" store (see
http://www.buildabear.com/ for locations).  They sell a small digital
recorder/player that can be embedded in a stuffed animal.  The devices
are normally sold as part of a stuffed bear, but they also sell them
as stand-alone items.  I don't think they will record 2-minutes of
sound, but they might be sufficient for your purpose.
