Do you have any other information at all about your grandfather or his
family that might give clues as to his birth place or his family
history?  Even information about relatives -- for example, siblings or
parents, even just their names -- might be useful.

We know he was Serbian and we found one picture of a young man,
possibly a relative with writing on the back of the picture read
"Uncle Tommy Demich". This Uncle Tommy Demich came and worked for him
for a short time when his second son was about 5 years old who is
George Lermon, my father. We were told when he, Mike Lermon, came to
America, that he took the last name of a young man aboard ship who
passed away and was buried at sea. We think the boat landed in
Virginia which would have been in the early 1900's. Mike Lermon's
first son was born in 1914 in Marshalltown, IA. We know all the
relatives he had here in the US, which is four sons and their
families. We would like to know where he was born and last name.
