I am looking for an online game that I found on a website some time
ago. Essentially you had a top-down view of a board with red and blue
coloured tiles positioned all over the playing surface. At regular
intervals a ball was launched from the top of the screen. As it
dropped down you had to time the swing of a rotating paddle at the
bottom of the screen to hit the ball so it knocked the tiles over. The
trick was to time the hit so the ball flew off at various angles to
knock over the tiles which were in rows and block across the playing
surface. There were various "bonus" hits which gave higher scores or
resulted in multiple tiles being knocked over. I am sure the game is
out there somewhere and I would be really pleased if anyone could
identify it. It was a simple game possibly shockwave or similar and
possibly sponsored or branded.

Hi littlejake,

I am certain I know the name of the game you are looking for. However,
since there are many versions and different sites which have this
game, looking for the exact one you remember is quite difficult.
Would a list of a few sites which have the game suffice as an answer
or are you only looking for the one you remember?

I should just clarify that the game is not "breakout" i.e the old
aracde game. You got about 100 balls a game and the balls did not stay
in play once you had hit them (when you mentioned lots of sites I
realised you may have been looking for "breakout" or something of that
type
