The Fresnel Lens

the uneven ground glass. The Fresnel is a true lens, flat, about one
sixteenth inch thick, divided into extremely small segments in the
form of concentric rings. Its function is to redirect the ray bundles
of the ground glass, especially the edges of the glass, to the central
