The IRS requires payment to indivuals be tracked through W-2 payments
(typically a paycheck) and/or "1099-MISC payments" for other income
paid to non-employees. The 1099-MISC payments are broken down into
payment amounts between Box 1 through Box 18 (see
http://www.irs.gov/instructions/i1099msc/ar02.html#d0e1194)

I would like a report of all 1099-Misc Payments by Box # for any and
all years after 2000, broken down by some type of industry code (or
specific companies).

Hello there,

As far as I can tell, the IRS has never released any data even closely
resembling what it is you're after.

Without IRS data, I can't even imagine how this question might be
answered. And judging from the non-response to it thus far, my guess
is that my fellow researchers are in a similar position.

Can you tell as anything more about your need for such specific and
detailed information. Perhaps if we understand the context a bit, one
of can suggest an alternative path to getting you what you need.

Thanks.

Our business targets services for company's that issue 1099
payments...in the pourest form we are trying to find those industries
that issue a large number of 1099 paymnts, ideally paymnts between
$100 to $1000 issued on a monthly or weekly basis that would require
the issuance of a 1099 for tax purposes.
