I found a published statement dated January 2000 which estamates the
number of log homes built in the US annually. Is this of interest to
you as an answer in lieu of hard statistics?

Hi etwigg!

I found the number of new log and timber-frame homes that were built
in 2001 in the United States. I can also tell you the market share of
the U.S. log home market as a percentage of the worldwide market for
log homes. These numbers are taken from a log home and timber frame
exposition brochure.

Would this information be of your interest?

Thanks,
Bobbie7

Well, what I really need is information that is more recent and
information on if the log home housing trend is increasing or
decreasing. So at this time I am going to hold out to see if I can get
some more recent info (ex. 2002 or 2003 stats). Thank you.

bobbie7, it seems like Prefabricated Housing report may have the info
I am looking for, but they are charging $3800 for the information.
That amount is well beyond what the information is worth to me.

Thank you
