Hi iminquisitive,

The following are the results of my research for linking Winston
Churchill to the Freemasons.

?This FDC is sponsored by the Masonic Stamp Club of New York and
commemorates the Masonic membership of England's most memorable Prime
Minister. Brother Churchill was initiated May 24, 1901 in Studholme
Lodge, London and "raised" to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason
March 25, 1902 in Rosemary Lodge No. 285. This FDC is cancelled in
Fulton, Mo., President Truman's home town, where he delivered his
famous "Iron Curtain" speech.?

?The Museum's collections are extensive including pottery and
porcelain, glassware, silver, furniture and clocks, Masonic jewels and
regalia. Items belonging to famous and royal Freemasons including
Winston Churchill and Edward VII are on display together with examples
from the Museum's extensive collection of prints and engravings,
photographs and ephemera.?

?Over the years Freemasonry has had a number of famous brethren,
including such names as Mozart, Winston Churchill, Peter Sellers,
Ronald Regan, George Bush Sr, Lord Mountbatten and most of Europe?s
royal families.?
