I believe the tune you want is not "Tom Hark," but is "A Swingin'
Safari," by Bert Kaempfert, which is easily mistaken for "Tom Hark."

I'm British and assume the advert you refer to is American so I can't
help with a definitive answer. However Bert Kaempfert recorded "Tom
Hark" as well as "A Swingin' Safari" so perhaps it could be either.

"Tom Hark" was originally written by Jake Kwela

famous version (in Britain at least) was recorded by The Piranhas.
