Hi tanjantest, It should be quite straight forward to replace the battery. There should be a battery release button or lever on the base of the laptop which should be easy to identify as it has a padlock symbol next to it. If you press this button it should unlock the mechanism and let you slide the battery out [N.B. make sure you keep the button depressed whilst you slide the battery out.] You should then be able to insert the new battery in much the same way, making sure the battery locks into place properly (and can't slide out accidentally). Unfortunately I was not able to locate a clear diagram, or a user manual, but I have spoken to Toshiba Technical support and this is what they advised. For further support you can call Toshiba on [USA] - (800) 457-7777 [UK] - 0870 444 8944 TOSHIBA America Product Support page http://www.toshiba.com/tai-new/Support.jsp Here are a few places where you can purchase a replacement battery: (Price $55) http://www.notebook-batteries.net/moreinfo.php?code=037 (Price $72) http://www.notebook-battery-for-less.com/order.asp?ID=93&M_ID=1293 (Price: $72) http://www.ibi-notebook-battery.com/order.asp?ID=1297&P_ID=93 I hope this information helps! ~ jackburton-ga ------------------------------ Search strategy: Explained in answer |
