Searching for images related to the allegorical story about people in hell trying to feed themselves with long-handled spoons that can't be turned to reach their mouths. This results in the realization that the long-handled spoons may be turned away from themselves so they may feed each other and they find themselves in heaven. |

Greetings July6: An image of a solitary long-handled spoon (in relation to this allegory) is located at http://www.possib.com/parabolas/poet_heaven_hell.asp but there are no humans represented. Spoon-fed images are at the following sites but not in relation to the allegory: http://www.well.com/conf/party/chili2001/chili5.html 2nd photo http://www.mit.edu/afs/athena.mit.edu/user/h/e/hectorh/www/web_pics/Halloween/016_13a.gif I've not time to view all of Hieronymus Bosch's paintings regarding Hell but there may be an image among his renditions of suffering representing the spoon allegory. If you decide to create your own image, may I suggest finding a couple of those "fork and spoon" sets that are used for decoration in homes and setting up your own "feeding" photo. Good luck.
