I´m looking for a 3D Printer for home rapid prototyping. The only
machine that is something like it is the SD 300 from the company
Solidimension. But it is far to expensive. There was an anouncement
from HP to produce something like that, but there was no real thing.
So, is there a company who produces a machine near that 1000 $ or is
there somebody who is building such a machine on his one (in an way
handmade for a cheap price)

Thanx for a feedback

Hi,

I doubt very much you will find anything in that price range (or find
anyone qualified enough to build one for you). You can barely get a
decent color laser 2D printer for $1000.

Have a look here for example:
http://www.zcorp.com/products/printersdetail.asp?ID=1

$30000 is a typical price.

You might be better off finding a company that already has one and
that can create the prototype for you for a fee.

Thanks.

That is not a 3D printer, it is a 2D cutter/marker.
