Hello dickcryer,

I believe the book you are looking for is called:
'Hendrick Pannebecker, Surveyor of Lands' for the Penns written by
Samuel W. Pennypacker, and published by Flomborn, Germantown and

The only online store I have located this book at is Amazon Rare & Used Books:
http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/exchange-glance/Y01Y3286336Y3381655/qid%3D1071191561/103-0737877-2963805

It is being sold by newlibrary2 zShop. The cost of the book is $89.00

If you are interested in buying the book, you may want to do so as
soon as possible since there appears to be only 1 copy left.

Alternatively you could check your local library or even visit the
Library of Congress. However, since I don't know where you are located
I'm not sure how possible that would be.

Search strategy:
I tried various spellings of the name in combination with Heinrich,
Heinrick, Hendrik, and Hendrick. I also used the search words
autobiography, biography, book with the name.
I then searched for "Hendrick Pannebecker, Surveyor of Lands" on
Google and the Library of Congress Online Catalog.

I hope the information provided is helpful. If any part of my answer
is unclear, or you believe this is not the book you are seeking,
please don't hesitate to request clarification before rating my
answer. I will be happy to further assist you.

Best wishes,

Dear Rainbow-ga,
I have been looking for this article for about five months, and I had
forgotten about my source (my stroke, a lame excuse). I have the
excepts from the article you mention, and it is probably not the same
as the one I'm after. I appreciate your time, and the fee is not
important. Here is the reference:

In the History of the Longacre-Longaker-Longenecker Family, Published
for the Committee, Philadelphia, PA, Lutheran Publication Society,
1902, page 91:

?Extract from letter of Judge Pennypacker, dated 1107 Girard Building,
Philadelphia, October 10th, 1895, addressed to Judge Longaker:

?DEAR JUDGE: Matthias Pennypacker married Mary Maris, widow of
Christian Maris and daughter of David Longaker, April 19th, 1796. They
had one daughter, Sarah, whose portrait you will find in the Biography
of Heindrick Pannebecker. Where you will also find set out in full the
information concerning the Langenecker preachers and the authority for
it. You can not get a copy of the Biography, but there is one in
Norristown belonging to John A. Pennypacker, where, no doubt, you can
see it. Sarah Pennypacker left a large number of descendants,
including the Colkits, of Philadelphia, and the wife of Colonel J. C.
Audenried. She married William Walker.?

Anything that you do to help would be most appreciated.

Clarification of Answer by rainbow-ga on 15 Dec 2003 11:06 PST
Hello dickcryer,

Thank you for your clarification. and my apologies for the incorrect
information I posted.

I checked the Norristown Library for the book, but no indication of it
being found there. I have sent out a few emails regarding this book
and will let you know of any feedback I receive.

If the responses I receive are unhelpful, I will request the removal
of my answer to the editors. It was very kind of you to mention that
the fee is not important, but I don't believe you should pay for an
incorrect answer.

Best wishes,
rainbow~
