Hello kerry4184-ga!

I have found some inital information that serves to help answer your
question. I want to check more sources to provide you with a more
complete answer and some of the online tools apparently use other job
titles for "construction superintendent." I want to be sure that I'm
looking up the proper job titles/descriptions. Could you please tell
me of any other titles that you know of that are used to mean
"construction superintendent?"

Thank you,

Hello again, kerry4184-ga!

Thank you for your clarification--that helped a lot. I've found both
national and state (Colorado) data for you on this as well as some
other helpful and interesting links. As for specifics with regard to
Boulder and Denver, I first found some information for the job
"construction foreman" that seems to fit well with the national and
state figures for "construction superintendent." Thankfully, with a
little more digging, I?ve been able to locate the information you seek
with the job title ?construction superintendent? for more accurate
data for you!

For the state of Colorado, the average salary statewide for a
construction superintendent is $55,918. When you calculate the added
benefits and bonuses, the average total compensation is $70,343.

From SalaryExpert.com:

between 43,527 and 74,153 (the 17th and 67th percentiles). These
numbers are derived from real, area specific, survey data.

When benefits and bonuses are added to this salary, the average total
compensation for this position would be 70,343.?

To add a little more information that might be of use to you, I?m also
including some additional research:

Cost of Living (COL)

SalaryExpert.com also compares the COL for Colorado, Denver, and
Boulder to the national averages. This is an excellent resource to
gain a sense of what a specific salary range really means in the
context of local economies. Each of the figures reflects the average
COL for renters in a specific area. I?ve included in parentheses the
difference in the COL compared to the national average.

Nationwide COL: $60,952
Colorado COL: $66, 196 (+$5,244)
http://www.salaryexpert.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Free_Salary_NA.Report&DC=Yes&job=7556&zip=&area=80000

Denver COL: $65,318 (+$4,366)
http://www.salaryexpert.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Free_Salary_NA.Report&DC=Yes&job=7556&zip=&area=82080

Boulder COL: $71,916 (+10,964)
http://www.salaryexpert.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Free_Salary_NA.Report&DC=Yes&job=7556&zip=&area=81125

In summary, the pay is higher AND the cost of living is lower in
Denver than in Boulder. However, there are multiple factors to
consider when contemplating relocation.

This is an excellent site for comparing two cities in the United
States. Enter two cities and you will immediately get a comparison of
the cost of living in each location. In addition, this site compares:

*Demographic information (population, population changes, median
salaries, median age, median size of household, etc.)
*Cost of Living Indexes (overall, food, transportation, health, utilities, etc.)
*Schools (ratings, student:teacher ratios, expenditures, etc.)
*Degree Holders (percent of population with 2-year college, 4-year
college, graduate)

*Housing (median home values, property tax, commute times, etc.)
*Economy (unemployment rate, job growth, etc.)
*Health (number of physicians, air and water quality, etc.)
*Climate (comfort index, sunny days, precipitation days, etc.)

We found this site to be an invaluable tool as we contemplated
different possibilities for our recent cross-country move. It is one
of the most comprehensive city comparisons we?ve seen.
