Hi, Ace!

The most comprehensive list of THX-certified movies that I've found is
on THX's own site.

Click "entire list" here:

THX: FIND A THX CERTIFIED DVD
http://www.thx.com/mod/products/dvdFind.html

Here you'll find another good list:

The DVD Collection of Dave Tompkins: THX
http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~davet/dvd/thx.html

Here's a list of "Top 25," as selected by a student named David Bonine:

Amazon: Top 25 Movies with THX sound
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/listmania/list-browse/-/2JNHHVT31SQFR/102-2060942-6036963

Google search strategy:

Google Web Search: "thx certified" + "dvd"

I hope this will help you to choose just the right movie for a perfect
viewing/listening experience!

What a fantastic answer on THX movies. When you are done testing your
speakers, you may want to check out these classics. Of course, many
of these films were made before THX. You may find an old favorite on
this list of masterfully crafted DVD versions of classic films.

I love ratings like that. I think that will encourage researchers to keep it up.

Hi, Ace!

I'd like to make a recommendation of a new THX-rated DVD that a friend
tells me is just breathtaking. It's "Ghosts of the Abyss," directed by
James Cameron. This documentary was shot in IMAX format, and was
originally shown in IMAX theaters, so the image detail is superb. My
friend says this is the best nonfiction DVD in his collection.
