This is the second question in a series of two questions related to
brand religion.

I'm looking for cases/examples of brands, which for some consumers has
turned into almost a religious belief. Take Apple, Harley Davison or
Manchester United as an example. All three brands have extremely
devoted fans, some even wearing tattoos. My second questions is:

2. Examples of consumers having tattooed a brand name into their body
due to this devotion (All brand cases are accepted except Apple and
Jones soda cases). Each example should include the name of the person,
the brand name and include a link to a picture of the person with the
brand tattoo.

Good luck,

Martin

Hi again,
Thanks for the clarification - unfortantly both links are broken -
would you happen to know any alternative links?

Also if you are able to identify any aditional high resolution
brand-tattoo pictures please email me and I'll set up an aditional
request enabling me to pay you US$ 10 per picture.

Thanks for your help,

All the best,

martin

Yes, both the links are broken unfortunately as the site is no longer
up and running. I have found a link to the tattooist's website, but no
viewable picture of the Budweiser tattoo.

I will try and find additional high resolution brand-tattoo pictures,
and will let you know.

Thought this might be of interest too...

The 9 "Lord of the Rings" actors (except for Rhys-Davies who sent a
stunt double) who formed the "Fellowship of the Ring" all got an
Elvish tattoo (designed by LoTR illustrator Alan Lee) meaning "The
Nine".

Sean Austin ("The Nine" tattoo on right ankle)

You've done a very good job - what you came up with was great -
however some of the stuff (in particular the advertising stuff) was
not 100% apropiate as these tattoo's are not permanent - I'm looking
for people obsessed with brands not alternative advertising
techniques.

Thanks for your great help,

martin

I also came across this disturbing advertisement:

"Get paid up to £800 or $1270 for having a unique, non-permanent
advertisement tattooed on your body using Timed Tattoo Technology ?.
We have customers desparate for human advertising space. This is good
news for you because it means the payouts are continually increasing."

I saw something about this recently in the last two issues of either
Entrepreneur magazine or Inc. magazine. It talked about branding on
people and showed a picture of a guy who had the likeness of tire
tread shaved into his head for a tire manufacturer.

Hi ebguy-ga and jackburton-ga,
Thanks for your feedback. Interesting stuff but not 100% what I'm
looking for. You see what I'm looking for is stories of people who a
are so obsessed with brands that they go so far to tattoo the logos on
their body's. What' you came up with was more a new "format" of "very
alternative" advertising.

Anyway other tattoo suggestions with high res. pictures are always
welcome for payment.

Good luck,

martin
