Hi:

I'm looking for Mu, a brand of sake, in New York City (preferably
Manhattan, especially Lower Manhattan). Several Japanese restaurants
carry it, but I want to find it retail. And it must be in stock -- I know
many liquor stores will special-order anything, but only if you buy a
case.

Good afternoon.

Beekman Liquors, according to their web site and per a confirmation phone call
placed just now, has Yaegaki Ginjo "Mu" in stock at this very moment and is
priced at $28.99 per bottle. Contact info for Beekman Liquors:

500 Lexington Avenue, NY, NY 10017
               212-759-5857
               bliquors@beekmanliquors.com

The web page discussing this particular sake brand is:

               http://www.beekmanliquors.com/sakeflav.htm

Please let us know if you need any further details or information.

This is NOT a clarification request ...
Thanks for the answer. I'll check it out this afternoon. I've been
told twice now that stores "carry" it, and when I got there it was
suddenly out of stock, but they had something else just like it.

When I spoke to the gentleman at Beekman's yesterday, he actually went to check
the shelves before saying positively that the sake was in stock. I hope this
will still be the case when you follow up. If you do so by phone, perhaps you
can ask them to put a bottle aside for you?

Best regards again,
