We are trying to find out the origin of the name 'Hungary Point' which
is on Lake Macquarie, near Bonnells Bay, South of Newcastle.New South
Wales.AUSTRALIA.

I have not found the reason for the name.  However, I have found the
date when the name was assigned, and what the previous name was.  You
might be able to find out more information by looking at the
government publication in which the name was assigned (available in at
least one NSW library, and presumably some others), or by contacting
the entity that assigned it.

Would the information I have found be a sufficient answer?
