Anton Bovis, a French archaelogist-physicist, while doing research
regarding the pyramids noticed that there appeared to exist an energy
phenomena that would be useful. He called it a lifeforce scale. This
scale measured the lifeforce in
various items such as food or water. The stories of pyramids and
energies and razor blades begin here. The truth of the razor blade
stories are of no interest to me I am interested in the scale and him,
his history, etc. He lived in the 1920s

Hi,

There is almost no information about Bovis himself available. Since he
is almost solely known for his Bovis scale, most resources simple
refer to him a “a French physician”.
I did find that he worked with and engineer Simoneton with whom he
created the Bovis Biometer; more about this later.

The following describes the basics of the Bovis Scale:
“The Bovis Scale, developed by a French physicist, quantifies or
measures how positively or negatively charged a substance is. For
living organisms, the key reference point on the scale is found at
6,500 Bovis Energy Units. From 0 to 6,500, the charge is in the
NEGATIVE range, or life-detracting, while above the 6,500 point the
energy gradually becomes more POSITIVE, or life-enhancing.
The desired minimal energy level for humans is found between 8,000 to
10,000 Bovis Energy Units, or slightly positive. The Earth itself
creates energy in the 7,000 to 18,000 range. This energy is also
referred to as "Biophotons", which are light particles invisible to
our eyes. This positive radiation is necessary to the maintenance of
life on Earth.”

A value of 6500 on the Bovis scale is considered neutral.

There is a link between a measured value on the Bovis Scale and the
direction of the spin of atoms. It is further described by the
following:
“Scientific research has correlated the clockwise or right spin if
atoms and molecules with a Bovis reading below 6,500 (i.e.
life-depleting). Besides mismanagement of the environment,
readings below 6,500 are the effect of underground streams, geological
faults, and Earth's magnetic grids. A counter clockwise or left spin
correlates with a reading above 6,500 (i.e. life-enhancing). Several
of Earth's energy vortices exceed 2,000,000 Bovis.”

And by this:
“Examples found in nature of this spin property include our cellular
DNA, which is in a left turning spiral. In contrast, cancer cells are
in a right-turning spin.”

A bit more about the Bovis Scale and its significance for landscapes:
“The Bovis Scale correlates measurable energy emanations from matter,
such as a landscape, geological fault, body of water, or underground
stream, according to whether it is beneficial or detrimental to human
health. Readings above 6,500 are considered health-promoting while
those below this number are harmful.”

As I said, a Bovis Biometer can be used to measure a substance on a
Bovis Scale.
The following describes the Bovis Biometer in more detail:
“With the use of the radiesthetical pendulum the intensity of rays of
a place, plant or object can be measured. From the study of physics
the measurement of electromagnetic wavelengths is known and the scale
is based upon this knowledge.
The wavelength of the red colour measures for example 6,500 Angstrom
units. An Angstrom corresponds to the length of one ten-millionth of a
millimetre. Because of the connection with the physical terminology
relating to the ray intensity, here it is named a Bovis unit. These
are so called units of intensity, or vibrational quality.”

And this describes how to measure a Bovis Scale:
“One method used is to measure the quality of the rays in a place or,
a large or small thing (the latter can be placed on the left hand side
of the biometer) One makes contact mentally and by use of the
pendulum, formulates questions to the Bovis unit, which results in a
side to side movement of the pendulum over the zero base.
The movement of the pendulum should be observed until the pendulum
swings constantly to one specific point on the scale. The answer can
then be read. Should the pendulum swing to a point beyond 10,000 Bovis
units, then by extrapolation and returning to the zero base, count
11,000, 12,000 etc.
A reduced scale or others giving different results cannot be named
Bovis Biometer.
1 Angtrom = 0.0000001 millemetre = 10-7 mm = 0.0000000001 metre = 0.1
nanometre
Note: The Bovis scale is not a measure of Angstrom units. The only
similarity to Angstrom units is the "base" point of 6,500 Angstrom
which corresponds to an average healthy value. That is the only point
on the scale with any relevance to Angstrom.”

I did find a reference to Antoine Bovis living in Nice, France. He
owned an ironmonger`s shop. Later he also opened the "Artisanat A
Bovis" to sell his radioesthetic apparatus. I found this information
on a web site in the Croatian language:
