What is the broadband penetration rate for residential internet access in Canada?

I limit the scope to residential because businesses may have dedicated T1/T3s.
I do not differentiate between cable and DSL and class both as
broadband versus "Dial-up".

most recent residential broadband penetration figures for the 3rd
quarter of 2003, as of 30 September 2003:

USA: 20% 
Canada: 35%

- Total Number of Residential Broadband Subscribers -
USA and Canada combined, Cable and DSL: 26 Million
USA and Canada combined, Cable only: 17,054,143
