How many helicopters are there in Georgia and who are they registered
to?  It would be nice to have as much information as possible about
each helicopter (tail number, model, type, owner, contact info, etc.).
I would also like to know at which airport or helipad the
helicopters are based.

Hi there,

Turns out there is a county-by-county database of all registered
*aircraft* in Georgia -- planes, jets, helicopters, etc.

I would be possible to cruise through this and pull out info on the
helicopter owners, but I'm afraid that's a bigger task than can be
justified at the price you've offered (and also, the craft are not
always initially identified as "helicopters" or not, so it would help
to already be familiar with manufacturer names and the like).

Again, the info is accessible county-by-county, so there's quite a bit
of legwork involved to pull out helicopters for the whole state.  But
it could be done.

If you would like me to post access information to this database as an
answer to your question, let me know, and I'll be happy to oblige.  If
not, perhaps you could suggest an alternative way to move forward on
this.

Hi there,

The FAA have a total of 191 helicopters registered in the state of
Georgia, out of a total of 8,434 aircraft.

As noted by pafalafa-ga the public version database is not able to
sort the data by state and aircraft type. In fact it cannot sort by
aircraft type at all, I got around this by searching by manufacturer,
and entering each manufacturer's name one by one.

To see the registration details, enter the manufacturer's name into
the search box, and it returns a list of models. Scroll down and look
for links with the word Georgia. Clicking on the link brings up the
registration details for each of that model in Georgia.
