I suspect that this may be a private-label custom rod built by a
particular American manufacturer, and it may require contacting this
suspected manufacturer in order to nail down that information. It
would help if you could provide a little further information.

Where and when did you purchase or see the rod in question?

Is "Guide's Collection" the complete label/brand name on the rod?

Would you verify that "Fire Hole" "IMF-7" is the exact and complete
description of the model designation?

Three more questions, and then I think I will have enough information
to contact the suspected manufacturer to find out if it made that rod:

Is it "fire hole" (two words) or "firehole" (one word)?

In what state or region would your father have done his flyfishing?
The more specific you can be, the better.

Do you have any idea how long ago your father would likely have obtained the rod?

When I have your answers, I will try to get an answer from the
manufacturer I have in mind. It may take a few days to get a
response, so I hope you can be patient.

Thanks for the additional information. I have sent an e-mail to the

response.

Sorry to say, I have received a response to my e-mail, and my hunch
was wrong. Other researchers please note that the rod was not
manufactured by Versitex.
