Hi Bigsticks,

I appreciate you offering to pay for the efforts, I hope more
information will be forthcoming from the band as far as tabs for you.

As far as the nickname "The Boat", they make reference to it on:
Three Note Records Wesbite
http://www.threenoterecords.com/leatherface07.html

"The Boat (Boatrace- Leatherface, geddit?)"

(I didn't truly understand it, but perhaps it makes more sense to you?)

Search engine used: The one and only GOOGLE.COM!...
Keywords used: leatherface "The Boat"

Thanks so much, and Happiest of Holidays!

Hi Bigsticks,

Nice time here around the holidays to purchase the indie lable sounds
of any band. Being impressed by anyone this interested in an indie
punk band, I had to turn as many stones over as I could. I was only
able to uncover two links for 4 songs total, but I didn't want you to
feel unrewarded for your efforts.

Link #1 is from a tab site called E-Tabs, a providor of the wonderful
types of layouts that you are seeking. Specifically at this site, "Dog
Song" and Hops And Barley Live".
E-Tabs.org
Guitar Tabs Archive
http://www.e-tabs.org/tab/leatherface

The second site might be of more use to you. Leatherface now has their
own webpresence. [ http://www.leatherface.uk.com ] One of the links on
the site is to learn to play "Not Superstitious", and "Sour Grapes".
Leatherface UK
Official Site
http://www.leatherface.uk.com/howtoplay.htm

Of final interest to you is that the band answers e-mails personally,
and I think they would welcome a request to learn their music,
especially considering the last two tabs are clearly hand written.
There is also a lovely forum at the site where you can meet other
fans.

But wait you say, how did I find so little information. Allow me to tell you.
Of course as anyone wanting to find anything on the internet, I used
the world's greatest search engine, Google.com.

My search terms were: Leatherface Mush Tabs

Those gave only a few short results. I was able to find a ton of links
from the third response. A wonderful website at:
The Shipyards
the un-official LEATHERFACE site
http://www.geocities.com/theshipyards/links.htm

I hope this helps in some way, I hate to see a good fan question go unanswered.

Thanks, mother911-ga, for the links! Frankie Stubbs is one of the
great songwriters of his time. And you at google answers are among the
great web (as well as non-web) researchers of your time. Can I submit
my payment for your efforts? Also, do you happen to know why they call
Leatherface "the boat"??
