Hi,
I am a physician and I am working in USA and I just finished residency
and got few questions regarding the career.
I am at present working as a physician and making more than 1,00,000.
And I do not want to go in to traditional careers like doing
fellowship in one of the specialties like cardiology or some other
branch.
So I am looking for different career options in medicine. Like health
economists, health informatics, or health column writers, and
alternative medicine. Please let me know what it takes to be a health
care stock analyst, as that is what is my first option to become. I
have good knowledge about the medicine and would like to use that and
combine that with stock market.
And the reason I am telling my salary is that I do not think I will
settle for some thing that pays less than that unless I am really
interested in it. And I am interested in fitness training and I do lot
of workout my self and want to open a fitness center. Well, I am
exploring different options and as for me I am happily married and
have one kid and as for my personality, I can work with people and I
have lot of motivation and I can work long hours. I am a first
generation immigrant and willing to work hard and I still have the
drive, which brought me from a very poor country to here. So help me
with the career choices.

1) What are the chances of becoming a health care stock analyst and
what are the qualifications that are needed? Or what are good books to
read if I want in depth info about stock analysis.
2) What are the career prospects for health informatics .
3) Is it worth doing a MBA as a physician and does it help some one in
my position if I want to go in to administrative side.
4) And what are the prospects in sports medicine. That is some thing,
which I really enjoy as I work out regularly and do running and
weights and would love a career in that field.
5) And what is health economics, and what it takes to become a health
care economist.
and if you have any other ideas about different careers feel free to
let me know as i am looking for all the options and exploring
different careers.
and please do ask me if you need any clarification.thank you and have a nice day
