Dear stephenjames,

There is an enormous problem: In 1909, Hungary was much larger than
today. In that time, it was still part of the Austrian-Hungarian
Empire, and as such, it did not only consist of today's Hungary
territory, but it also covered huge parts of what is today Slovakia,
Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Moldavia, the Ukraine, and Romania. If
Alsoricso is located in one of those countries now, it is very likely
that the name has been changed, maybe as early as 1918. In that case,
the new name could be completely different. Maybe you have any
additional information that might help us locate the place?

Regards,
Scriptor

Hello stephenjames,

There was indeed an Alsoricso in Hungary in 1909. With accent marks,
it was spelled Alsóricsó or Alsóhricsó. (Another alternate spelling
includes a hyphen after "Alsó" and capitalizes the first letter of the
rest of the name.) It was apparently detached from Hungary to
Czechoslovakia by the Treaty of Trianon in 1920, It became part of
Slovakia from 1939-1944 and then again in 1993. Its current name is
Dolný Hri?ov.

"201 ? 400 - Alsóittebe ? Andaháza" [listing about 3/5 down the page;
find "Alsóricsó" in page]

It is also mentioned on several other Google pages:

Excellent - I think an old map (1909) of Hungry along with comments
from the researcher works! Thanks a million!
