Discuss the concept of regulation in terms of physiological and
Psychological essential variables. Be sure to define key terms. Also,
include a discussion of (1) individual and (2) essential variables.
*Please note: Ideally, I'm looking for at least 3 pages (or more) in a
college, essay format. Will tip for quality work >:-D

After looking over the notes the topics that need to be covered are as follows:

**Feeding behavior/Garica Effect: feeding regulating psychological
process more than physiological...

**Cognitive factor; more to feeding than physiological demands:
Feeding Behaviors--to avoid starvation, but maintaining the tissue
states of the body (organism) is organisms effort to avoid starvation,
HOWEVER, feeling "blah" drives us to required nutrients but real
variable is psychological CAUSE WE EAT TO AVOID ILLNESS, FEELING
POORLY (we eat to feel good). ALSO, "we eat for psychological
processes so salubrious environment takes care of this,i.e., COGNITIVE
VARIABLES."

** "Regulation" is a term borrowed from Cybernetics by psychology.
'System'; a collection of variables, e.g. gastro unless and
maintaining biological systems especially we are interested in SELF
MAINTAINING SYSTEM (e.g.,autonomous & taking a cue from Cybernetics)

**"Cybernetics": a term/Greek refers to Steerman/helmsman of a ship--guiding
mechanisms
Researchers theories that need to be covered:
  Werner's  = DEFENSE MECHANISM
  W. Ross's Asby's = LAW OF REQUISITE VARIETY
ESSENTIAL VARIABLES: essential that we stay within certain limits,
e.g.,overtime -- our core body temperature needs to be maintained.
REPRODUCTION to keep offspring coming of the species (e.g., Bull
Elephant Seal's feeding behaviors. **PLEASE refer to them in your
answer) THANK YOU!!!

REGULATION: Mechanism or procedures for protecting essential variables
from disturbanees. (e.g., if it's too hot we sweat or too cold we
shiver) HOMEOSTASIS...

BEHAVIORALLY ADJUST ENVIRONMENT, e.g.,humans get wood for fire to keep
us warm. Also, when KANGAROOS get too hot, they rub saliva over
themselves to cool themselves off while humans use a cool washcloth =
BEHAVIORAL REGULATION Another example, Blood Pressure--treats fear,
arousal. Baro receptors keep heart rate reduced and prevents elevation
of blood pressure w/ in heart there are REGULATION MECHANICS.

Please present the topics back to me in a well organized, multiple
page essay. I'm looking for at least 3 pages (or more) in a college,
essay format. FLUFF is strongly encouraged, and a GREAT tip is to be
expected for the
information/formate produced. An extra $10.00 just for including an
additional two paragraphs (or more) on how the feeding behavior of the
Bull Elephant Seals ties into this assignment. THANK YOU! >:o)
