Woudl you be satisfied with links to sites, which you can link to your
site as "watch the trailer"? Why do you actually need the trailer on
your servers? Even the great IMDB link to distributor's sites with the
trailers.

I would accept that provided that a couple of conditions were met:

1. The site doesn't ask my customers to sign up, join or provide any
type of information such as email address etc. in order to view the
clip.

2. The site doesn't serve pop up or pop under ads or other annoyances.

I have found the following websites that meet your two requirements
that you do not need to sign in or give your email address and it has
no pop-up ads. On some sites though an new window will be opened not
for annoying ads but for the particular site where the trailer is
located or a window will be opened for the specific player (like
windows media player, real player or quicktime) to play the clip.
