There is a wallpaper company in Germany called Berlintapete that
produces cutting edge designs...what I am interested in is finding the
American equivalent to this company.  So far, no such luck.  I am
looking for a company that makes cutting edge designs that reflect
current trends in graphic designs.

The custom designs part is relatively easy, there are quite a few
digital image reproduction shops in the US that use the same
techniques and materials as Berlin Tapete.

The hard part is the cutting edge designs part. Amazingly, after going
through every single American manufacturer link found on the
http://www.wallpaperinstaller.com website (which, incidentally, is an
excellent resource for wallcovering information), I have to say that
there appears to be a severe lack of cutting edge design being
translated into "standard" products here in North America. There are a
lot of firms that will take a customer's own cutting edge design and
print it onto wallcovering material, and countless firms that will
work with interior designers for commercial projects. But, if what you
are really seeking is a company offering a constantly rotating catalog
of cutting edge designs like Berlin Tapete does, I haven't been able
to find them online. Hopefully, one of my fellow Researchers will have
better luck!
