i am looking for a web plugin i can use to export the visitors outlook
contacts database, and bring it into my webserver.  i am running
php/mysql on the server.

linkedin.com has a very simple bit of code that runs when you click
'import outlook addressbook'.  That's exactly what I'm looking for but
I don't know where I can find such code.

write a script to do this but it requires permission to get info from
not only outlook but access thier machine !
you will not be able to use php/mysql unless the user does alot of intervention
nothing is free on this expect to learn to write your own applet or forget it

yes i understand you need permission.  that's how it works on linkedin
and everywhere else.

i understand it will need to be written an an active x component,
which creates an invisible form which is submitted to my php server.
