Dear Daembl, According to the Semiconductors Industry Association, semiconductors in worth of $140.7 billion were sold in the world in 2002. This is 1.3% increase from 2001. The SIA adds, "PCs continue to be the single largest end market for semiconductors, accounting for 30% of total chip consumption.". (Source: SIA, Press Release February 2003 , "Global Chip Sales Up 1.3% in Recovery Year", <http://www.semichips.org/pre_release.cfm?ID=257>). SIA spokespersons would be pleased to inform you on more specific details: Molly Tuttle 408-436-6600 pressroom@sia-online.org Doug Andrey 408-436-6600 pressroom@sia-online.org I hope that answers your question.
