I need a plant grow light for a small herb garden on my kitchen
counter. The bulb is small, it must fit in a "under-shelf" GE ficture.
The bulb size must be F8T5. I have done some research on this but
cannot find a bulb to fit into this fixture. |

Hello edwat-ga,
I have found F8T5 bulbs available for sale online but they are not GE
brand. Is this acceptable or are you specifically looking for GE
bulbs? These bulbs are 5/8 inches in diameter and 12 inches in
length.

GE doesnt have to be the mfg. As long as it is a "full spectrum" of
grow light type bulb that has the high "blue" spectrum range for herb
growth.

Hello edwat-ga,
The bulb that I found is described as follows:
?8W, Daylight, Miniature Bipin T-5 Preheat Fluorescent Lamp, 6500K
Color (dia. 5/8", length 12")?
GE 10055 - F8T5/D is listed as a cross reference.
Will this meet your needs?

googlenut - You found a "daylight" bulb - it is not really a PLANT
GROW bulb since it isnt covering the full spectrum I prefer. I found
the same bulb you did - it is a Philips bulb. Unfortunatly I will
probably have to buy it since no other bulb exists in that size, or
Ill just have to break down and get another flourescent appliance that
will take the more conventional sizes.
